Audio Visual Plan
For my audio visual plan I ended up basing it as a music video around the song 'Marry the Night' - Lady Gaga. Due to only gaining access to the music of this song and not the singing, I have to provide the lyrics myself via the aid of a singer and a recording device.

Research for Audio Visual (Music Video)
Credit of Music Video =
Arianda Grande, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey (Don't Call Me Angel) Official Music Video.
Scene 1
-Woman walking in heels
- Slow speed
- Low angle shot at only her feet, slowly follows her
- No music playing, only sound of footsteps (heels prominent)
- Setting is a wet, bleak day. Night time
- Still no music, expands to a wide angle shot of the full woman from the side.
- A subtle pan shot (depth)
- Costume does not match my idea but similar idea of start
Between Scenes
- A introduction to the song along with the artists' names.
- Black background matches the bleak atmosphere from the first scene.
- Text has a subtle glow from the middle of the screen
Scene 2
- Scene changes between actresses and shot positions, however in the same position
- Two other actresses surround the main singer
- When the music gets intense / louder normally the shot gets closer.
- Position of actress also changes to see side of them occassionally. In the shot at the bottom, a slight blur is present.
- The person is always singing, whether in the mic or not (if they are on the screen)
Scene 3
- A split story is shown between 3 different stories.
- This is done to accompany the 3 different singers and therefore is not relevant in my music video due to there being a singular singer.
- However opposing themes are created during this (between light and dark of the devils) which creates tension in the music video, as if you are watching a film.
- Story is created and worked upon
Faster Scene
- Fast compilation of shots in different angles to accompany a faster pace of music.
- Despite this, a constant amount of eye contact is still quite large, while also looking away at the other character (never looks away randomly during an intense moment).
- Costume has only slightly changed, with the removal of wings due to the line 'Don't call me an angel when I'm a mess'.
- Low angle shots when the person is making eye contact - shows power?
- Only high / medium angle shots when they're not looking into camera.

Copyright Permission for Audio Visual
Requesting Copyright Permission for my Audio Visual on my Website
For my audio visual project which I am required to do on my website, I chose to make my own music video and cover of the Lady Gaga song "Marry the Night". To get permission for this, I had to request copyright use of the song from Universal Music Group - in which I sent an email to their support email. -

Research Cover Masthead
Research Cover Masthead
I need to find a suitable font and style for my masthead to match and portray both of my chosen genres (music and fashion) straight away to a reader.
I have found some of the most popular fashion and music magazines mastheads to compare them to each other. I have found that fashion magazines prefer to have a much more thin font in all capital letters. As well as this they prefer to have more spaced letters and mostly text wrapping. Although from these examples they have no blatantly obvious colour similarities, they still prefer to go towards a red/orange colour in front of a white background. I want to avoid this on my masthead as I feel like its overused. The music magazines have very thick fonts with the letters close together. They often have white text and then over some bright colour (yellow/blue).
To mix these two genres together I would like to use a white font in front of a bright background - as this will also mix in one of my edition themes of a festival setting. I also want to use a thinner font to relate to the fashion genre.

Research Shapes
I noticed that on quite a lot of front covers, different shapes with text inside them are used for many purposes. I want to use some of these on my cover as I feel like they highlight specific parts of the cover well.
Mostly circles are used to show something money wise on the magazine, whether its the price or something extra included inside the magazine. On the other hand, square shapes are often used to show something happening inside of the magazine, like a list. These often are very clickbaity and promise to teach you something.

Summer Photography
Summer Photography
I took this photo at a university open day where I decided to find older models. I used a side shot to capture his entire outfit and highlight his fashion. I also decided to have him looking away from the camera and focused on something else (his phone) to give the idea that he wasn't really trying to model. I am planning on using it to target the older part of my target audience (university students) in my contents page/website. I feel it directly links to both music and fashion for my brand.
This is a photo which I was planning on doing in the rain. This was taken as a festival back up clothing photo in case of rain, so a more bleak setting would make the coat stand out even more. However, I feel the picture came across as more studio like because of the weather. In this photo I am not a fan of the brick background, and I am planning on removing the background in my editing process.
This photo was take in a field near my house, I felt like this setting is very good for a festival setting - while not being an actual festival. This image presents the representation of power because of the low angle shot and eye contact from the model. When looking at the photos afterwards I felt it would work very well on my website.
This was also taken on the university open day. I took a side shot of a band as the front shots wouldn't give me as much emotion from the models as well as letting me see all of the band. Although the photo came out a bit blurry in some places, I can sharpen up the photo later in editing.
This photo uses the same model as my earlier photo however I decided to give her some headphones and gave her a denim jacket to wear. This makes the photo come across giving more of a relaxed portrayal as well as a direct music focus. I also decided to have her sitting down to make it more relaxed as well.
Just before the summer, I created a plan for which photos I wanted to take and what they're purpose on my magazine was. I then followed this plan in most photos which I took, however there was some difficulties and changes to this plan throughout the summer. Because of the busyness of some people inside of the summer, including holidays, work, etc, this limited my availability for group photos significantly. But with me being back at school I can now focus on this types of picture over any others to prepare for my website work. Another hindrance was that I was planning on doing a "wet/rainy" section in my magazine, and for that I wanted some pictures of my models in the rain. Because of the hot summer, this has delayed me taking these types of pictures, however on this days I still managed to adapt and take some inside shots as well as general fashion shots. Over the summer I ended up taking more female shots than male shots, this is because of time clashes with m preferred/wanted models. To get around this, I have organised a photo shoot with multiple male models to take place on the 14th September.
